Matthias Mezger-Boehringer is a Partner at Executive Interim Partners

He is also a Partner at  Advenian Partners GmbH, München, Paris, Zürich, an international consultancy company for Performance Improvement Programs and Turnaround Management, here he supports a variety of companies in Turnaround-Situations. Before this period  Mr. Mezger-Boehringer was CEO of REM AG, a consultancy company for mid-cap- companies situated and founded in Stuttgart; he was responsible for the Turnaround-Business-Entity. At this stage, he also worked for different companies as CEO or CRO, because he was asked from financial partners ( banks, private equity etc. ) or directly from Board Members. He successfully did Turnaround-Management-Programs, Strategic Leadership, New Positioning, and Sales Growth Programs for example.

Mr.  Mezger-Boehringer started  his business career  1986 in the computer industry in Germany.

From  1989 to  2005  Mr. Mezger-Boehringer was Managing Director/ Member of the Board of different mid-cap companies ( turnover up to 500 Mio.Euro and up to 2500 employees ). He has experience in the area of capital goods, consumer and branded goods, luxury goods, as well as ancillary industry. He was focused on market oriented and strategic management, marketing and brand management, integrated restructuring and reconstruction of companies with emphasis on value added chains as well as sustained increase of enterprise value. The closing of certain business areas as well as the purchase / sale of companies or parts of them were also a substantial part of the performed tasks preserving and increasing value.

Mr. Mezger-Boehringer has a strong international orientation due to his foundation and set-up of sales and production companies in Europe, USA, Japan, China and Slovakia.

Furthermore Mr. Mezger-Boehringer was active Member of the Board of numerous companies and organizations.

Mr. Mezger-Boehringer studied Business and Administration in Hohenheim (Germany) and Lausanne (Switzerland).

Developement of a 5 year turnaround plan, Restructuring of the business model, Implementation of cost cutting measures for personnel costs and other operating expenses. Definition and Processing of sales improvement programs and new pricing strategies
  • General Manager  / Chief Restructuring Officer ( CRO )  of an international producer of diesel engines for building and construction industry and agricultural industry f.e. and producer of engine parts for the automotive industry. Restructuring of the business model including cost cutting measures for personnel and other operating expenses in an international environment with several companies abroad.
  • Chief Executive Officer ( CEO )/ Chief Restructuring Officer ( CRO ) of an international producer of electrical engineering goods. ( Turnover : 300 Mio.Euro, 2000 employees ). Management and Leading of Cost Cutting Activities ( Personnel, OOE, etc.
  • Closing of the subsidiary in Weimar and transfer of the production plant to India. Organisational change and creating of several Business Units. Definition of new Controlling Instruments, international Growth Strategy for the Business Unit LED-Lighting. Establishing of a new Business Unit SERVICES including of a software- based checking tool.
