Torben Sorensen is a Partner at Executive Interim Partners.
Mr. Sorensen attended college in the USA and Denmark and served in the Danish Armed Forces with the Royal Danish Guard Hussar Regiment. He began his professional career as an auditor at Arthur Andersen & Co. in Denmark (CPA). During his first year at Arthur Andersen, he completed his MBA at Copenhagen Business School. Five years later, he sold the company to a Danish med-tech investor and became CFO of a major Swedish media company in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. When the company abandoned its pan-European business strategy three years later, Mr. Sorensen also left.
Since 2003, Mr. Sorensen has worked as an interim manager (CEO, CFO, project director) on assignments worldwide for a broad range of companies across different industries. For more than 20 years, he was a board member of a family-owned steel construction company in Denmark (P. Sorensen A/S), and he was CEO and founder of a venture capital company in Switzerland. He is also the founder and CEO of a management consultancy in Germany.
