Dr. Matthias Heisse

Dr. Matthias Heisse is a member of the Advisory Board of Executive Interim Partners GmbH.

Dr. Matthias Heisse is also a founding partner of Eversheds Sutherland in Germany and until recently served as Managing Partner for Germany. He is the Head of the law firm’s global Industrials Sector Group as well as Co-Head of the cross-border M&A team of Eversheds Sutherland.

In his practice, Matthias specialises in mergers and acquisitions as well as capital markets transactions. He has experience in numerous national and international company restructurings, financings and reorganizations. His clients include international conglomerates, listed companies as well as financial investors and banks, which he advises in all questions concerning corporate law and, in particular, with regard to annual stockholder meetings. Moreover, Matthias is member of several supervisory boards and has served as arbitrator in disputes concerning capital market and corporate law.

Matthias has particular expertise in advising Industrial clients on its inbound investments in Germany and cross-border M&A projects.

Matthias is recognised as a leading Corporate/M&A lawyer by Best Lawyers in Germany, Chambers Global, Chambers Europe and Germany’s JUVE Handbook. Furthermore, he is listed for Corporate Law by Legal 500, both in its Germany and EMEA edition and recommended for Private Equity by Best Lawyers.

Matthias earned his Doctorate In Corporate Law from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich and he received several awards in the field of Corporate and M&A. He is the author of numerous books, articles and has lectured on the subject of international M&A transactions at the universities of Augsburg, Munich and Turin.
