Carsten Paris is an Interim CFO, CEO and CRO with more than 29 years of experience in auditing, private equity and operational interim management. He supports mid-market companies in special situations – from operational restructurings and complex refinancings through to company sales and IPOs.
Recent mandates include the financial and operational restructuring of the international B2B/B2C retail company Hauck Gruppe including IFRS consolidation, integration of group entities, and refinancing, as well as serving as CFO of the German automotive supplier Gebrüder Wielpütz.
As Managing Director, CRO and shareholder, he led the continuation of operations and sale of the automotive supplier Küpper Gruppe in self-administration insolvency proceedings to an international investor. Earlier in his career, he built the group consolidation at Honsel International Technologies, laying the financial foundation for its sale and subsequent IPO in Brussels and Tokyo.
In addition, he advised Anglo-Saxon private equity firms with German portfolio companies on financial implementation topics, including reporting transparency, liquidity management and M&A readiness, predominantly in the automotive industry.
Mr Paris began his career in the German Air Force and last served as First Lieutenant in international operations. He subsequently worked as Audit Manager at Ernst & Young and as Investment Director at Alchemy Partners (London). He holds a Diplom-Kaufmann degree from the Universität der Bundeswehr München, is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA, USA), a certified restructuring advisor (ifus), and a Member of TMA Deutschland e.V.
