Executive Interim Partners gains experienced transformation specialist –
Carsten Paris becomes new partner
Continued rise in demand for transformation and restructuring services
Munich, 2 March 2026 – Executive Interim Partners (EIP), a leading provider of interim management services in the C-level segment, is further expanding its expertise in operational restructuring and sustainable value enhancement. Carsten Paris joins the team as an experienced turnaround manager with a strong background in industry and private equity.
Carsten Paris has been the founding and managing partner of ICS Partners GmbH since 2004, an equity investor and consulting firm for operational restructuring, performance enhancement and transformation of industrial and investment companies. Paris has more than 25 years of international management and consulting experience in the areas of auditing, private equity and operational restructuring. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA, USA), he combines financial expertise with a clear focus on implementation. He has held operational management roles in numerous mandates, including as CEO, CFO and Chief Value Officer, and has been responsible for turnaround and performance programmes, particularly in industrial and automotive-related companies. His mandates have included the baby and children’s equipment supplier Hauck Group, the automotive supplier Küpper Group and ICT Innovative Components Technologies (now KDK Automotive GmbH), call centre service provider Walter Services and paper wholesaler PaperlinX Deutschland.
Carsten Paris studied economics and organisational sciences at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich and graduated with a degree in business administration. His first professional positions took him to Ernst & Young and private equity investor Alchemy Partners.
His profile is exemplary of the Executive Interim Partners approach. Since its foundation in 2015, EIP has specialised in supporting companies in special situations such as restructuring, transformation or strategic realignment, often in executive positions at management and board level or as a supervisory or advisory board member. The focus is on stabilisation, increasing earnings and the sustainable realignment of business models.
“Carsten Paris combines restructuring experience, private equity expertise and operational leadership skills. It is precisely this combination that is crucial in challenging corporate phases when it comes to quickly stabilising organisations and restructuring them,” commented Michael Hengstmann, founder and partner of Executive Interim Partners, adding with regard to the restructuring market: “We are currently seeing a significant increase in complex special situations – driven by geopolitical uncertainties, high cost pressure and structural changes in many industries. Companies therefore need experienced leaders who not only develop concepts, but also take responsibility for their implementation and achieve measurable results in a short period of time.”
As a partner at EIP, Carsten Paris will primarily be responsible for mandates in the retail and automotive sectors, contributing his private equity expertise and experience in special situations such as transformation and restructuring, and supporting the further expansion of the partnership both professionally and entrepreneurially.
