He is also a managing director of TED Solutions, a technology consultancy providing interim CIO and CTO leadership globally and in multiple industries.

Dion was an Interim Global Technology Leader with KKR for the Unilever/Upfield global divestment program, prior to joining Executive Interim Partners,
Before that, he was Consulting Director for Accenture’s Products Technology Practice and Chief Information Officer with Carnegie Mellon.

Dion started his professional career as an operations manager at BNY-Mellon and very rapidly progressed to become EMEA’s Business Technology Director. He later joined Accenture as a Managing Consultant and after that joined NCG as the Group IT Director.

Dion has more than 20 years of experience in executive and non-executive management roles in delivering strategy, and complex technology transformation and divestitures in large corporates and PE-backed businesses, working with Boards, Executives, and Investors.

Dion served as interim Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) for several UK and international companies with a track record in successfully transforming, outsourcing, and turning around technology organizations and companies in special situations.

He serves and has served as the Board member and Non-Executive Director at several companies in the UK and abroad.

Dion earned his Master of Science in Management and Technology with Excellence at the University of Economics and Business in Athens, Greece.

  • Acted as the Interim Transformation Manager for an Engineering Services Group. Led the Group-wide SAP S/4HANA transformation of integrating multiple business organizations; established global governance and PMO; delivering a 2-year comprehensive, strategic transformational plan – people, processes, and technology – in less than a year. (GBP 100m)
  • Acted as Global CIO and led IT due diligence and integration of a global CPG merger (GBP 1B) – in under one year. Resulted in over GBP 8m IT savings (415%+ ROI) and established a strategic integration platform for future acquisitions.
  • Acted as CIO for financial services business (5500 employees). Led successful restructure and outsourcing of the technology organization and transformed local technology organizations in 26 countries into a single, global IM organization saving GBP 30m in people costs, GBP 50m in operating costs.
  • Led as Consulting Director within the products technology practice for a professional services organization – successfully implementing, SAP and enterprise Commerce/Cloud solutions, business process reengineering, integration, transformation, operational excellence, and M&A, leading a team of 2500 in 26 countries, with a budget of GBP 100M+.
  • Acted as Chief Information and Transformation Officer- A GBP 350m global divestment SAP S/4HANA & Non-SAP Apps program. The objective was clear and singular; to create a new SAP landscape that was built to meet the business needs of Upfield, in line with meeting the TSA Exit agreements with Unilever.
  • Acted as Interim CTO, responsible for strategic information and business systems in 7 countries, for GBP 6 billion Fortune 500 company managing GBP 100 million budget consisting of 18 operating companies and 30+ manufacturing and distribution facilities.
  • Acted as Interim CTO developed and sold-in, a 3-year, GBP 150m technology strategy, applications roadmap, and organization to the CEO, COO and Executive leadership for a significant UK/Global retailer.
  • Acted as the executive M&A Program Leader for the strategic acquisition of the wing assembly program of Global Aircraft business. Led a team of 150+ resources in the integration of over 60 applications into the core of the acquired company.
  • Acted as Executive Transformation Advisor for an Aerospace / Transportation organization. Led the transformation of integrating multiple, global technology organizations; established global governance and PMO; delivered a 3-year comprehensive, strategic transformational technology plan – people, processes, and technology – in less than a year.
  • Led transformation team across the UK insurance business with tight integration to US parent company. Successfully implemented a single, global instance of SAP S4/HANA in 13 countries, and five languages, retiring over 60 legacy systems and reducing operating costs by GBP 120m.
  • Acted as Program Manager responsible for the design and implementation for the regional template rollout accountable for all integration, supply chain planning and data migration activities across multiple countries and multiple releases implementing to over 15 countries and 68 factories achieving full divestment within 12 months.
  • Acted as Interim CIO, developed and sold-in a 3-year, $150m technology strategy, applications roadmap, and organization to the CEO, COO and Executive leadership for this significant US retailer– in 5 months. Redesigned their shared services technology organization to enable delivery of the roadmap.
