Bodo-Joachim Wendenburg is Partner at Executive Interim Partners.

Bodo has more than twenty years of experience as an entrepreneurial CFO, with strong operational focus in leading international FMCG-companies, especially in transformation processes. Additionally, he worked four years in a Private Equity company, which invested only in special situations, both on the shareholder and on the investment side.

Bodo started his professional career in well-known companies of the consumer goods industry. At Beiersdorf AG he started as a Financial Controller in Germany and later in México City, before he took over the Controlling department of the family-owned Carl Kühne KG in Hamburg, followed by the Citibank Consumer business Controlling department in Düsseldorf.

As part of the founder team, he was an Investment Manager of Capital Management Partners (CMP) GmbH in Berlin, a PE company, which exclusively invested in transformation and restructuring situations. At Wolff & Olsen, a family-owned fashion company, he executed as Managing Director/CFO different restructuring projects. As Managing Director/CFO of the family-owned Intersnack group in Cologne, he was in charge of the German financial business and led different cash flow enhancing projects.

His strength lies in the execution of restructurings, reorganizations and post-merger integrations. Besides the development of new concepts, he loves to drive the operational implementation of the aligned strategic initiatives. He is very effective in conducting high-level negotiations with banks, shareholders and works councils. Due to his international background, he relies on a strong intercultural and communication competence and a clear assessment of what is possible in different environments and situations.

His industrial experience covers the areas of Fast-Moving-Consumer-Goods, Fashion, Food, Retail and Private Equity.
