During his tenure as CEO, he generated a multi-billion-dollar project with a new technical scalable transmission system and a new flexible manufacturing concept for a top 10 global automotive OEM.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, as Managing Director of Knorr-Bremse Commercial Vehicle Systems, he was profit and loss responsible for several business units, as well as on a group level, responsible for spare parts trading, supply chain management, purchasing and industrial engineering. There he reorganized and streamlined procurement and was responsible for the purchasing savings of the respective performance improvement program. He also initiated and established the Remanufacturing division. He also served as Executive Board member and had company-wide oversight of the Asia Pacific Region. In China, he successfully negotiated and formed a joint venture with China\u2019s leading truck manufacturer.<\/p>\n<p>He began his career at Robert Bosch GmbH in the global management trainee program. Starting as a Key Account Manager and becoming President Asia Pacific of the Electrical Drives business unit, he was responsible for business development, strategic decision making and operational improvements in a senior capacity. In a complex international environment and across cultures, he led various performance improvement programs. During his tenure, he lived and worked in Germany, Spain, South Korea and China.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Weng earned his Doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Ruhr University Bochum in the area of finite element programming and simulation. Simultaneously, he completed studies in Industrial Engineering and Business. Previously, he also attained a Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering in Bochum in combination with the University of
